Has anyone bought 2k paint from Tinternet? As I am unfamiliar with good brands and not so good brands of paint, I just a bit of advice before jumping in. Seems a lot cheaper than buying from a paint shop but is it any good.

Seen 7.5ltrs for £79. On the bay, colour of your choice. I can get it from a supplier to the trade, friend of a cousin, but the bay price seems really good.

got a full kit from eBay 5ltr of top coat 2k, thinners, hardner all for £160 painted wings and bulkhead so far.. I'm very pleased with quality and coverage local paint suppliers wanted £36 a ltr plus harder and reducer

The price difference is a joke. Can you remember the trader? Was 5ltr enough?

I painted my whole landy with paint off eBay has been perfect.
Thats what i wanted to hear.

Are you lads painting this stuff on yourself or getting someone to do it in a booth etc? Don't wantto sound soft, but 2K paint is no good for the lungs. Or, am I mixing that up with something else?

No your rite 2k is no good for the lungs but when I sprayed mine I done it outside and with a very good mask on best I could do.

I've only sprayed 2K lacquer on single panels so no long exposure but even with a good 3M mask I wasn't happy about it. The hardener is basically super glue so the thought of getting that in yer lungs doesn't bare thinking about.

2k paint is lethal but used correctly isn't an issue. I have a air fed mask run off a second compressor which is in another shed. I also have a fan from a bouncy castle which I will use as an extractor.
