From the pictures it looks like there's not much of the original D reg motor left on that one, in fact i'd say it was mostly a later TD5.

i didnt see much d there either. LEZ Cock up.

Is it a bitza or a ringer though? all the panels seem to the same colour inside, he's glued some chequer plate on the back wings for reasons best known to himself so you can't tell where the filler cap was originally, (ie TD5 style or behind the drivers door) also the build quality looks reasonably good for something cobbled together from second hand bits. It *might* be a ringer IMO but at the very least it should be on a Q plate, either way it's taking the ****.

well maybe, but the ad is for a 4c dt, suggesting it aint a td5 on the v5 either. Its slightly dodgy at the very least.

They should be hung out to dry for openly selling equipment to allow/encourage criminal activity

Years ago I used to do quite a bit of buying and selling on EBAY (nothing to do with landrovers I hasten to add) It was in the days when you could see who was bidding (and shill bidding!!) and you could become quite adept at identifying dodgy stuff. So, this is what I did.

1) Identify something that is definately stolen (or as sure as you can be)
2) Set up a new ebay account with a different e-mail address to the one you normally use.
3) get a mate to bid £10000 on the item
4) You then bid £10,100 on it ....so you are winning
This REALLY ****es the tea leaf off because they know you are winding them up and are never going to pay and b) it ****es EBAY off because they have to sort out the mess of fees etc. Then they start to get interested!!!
Made me think that this could be a solution if folks are ABSOLUTELY SURE a landrover is dodgy.
Obviously I'm lying when I say I used to do this...all bravado!!

Was just location (sheffield) and no mention of vin numbers etc. that and the liberal use of checkerplate to cover up lack of substance underneath ie bad bulkhead? on the orange one that is.

other looks really nice . increasingly getting feeling i paidover odds for my td at 2.5k

I dunno where people find em so cheap. I spent first week regretting it and looking for proof of vin numbers as plate under bonnet not new. Had it looked over by police and ok, just had donor vehicle to fix it up. Wish i had saved coulda got a tdi
