Surely that should be q plated?

Why? He's fitted a new like-for-like chassis, what's wrong with that?

I'm one of the first to point out ringers and jump up and down about scrap chassis being sold with V5s, or V5s being sold without vehicles but this is getting just a *little* paranoid, init?

If it is made up of new parts.......where is the original 1985 vehicle?
Ok to swap over to a new chassis on like for like - as long as the chassis is stamped.

SVA approval? Or what ever they call it.

I agree it is for U.S market. Look at the price!
:D

No different to rebuilding your own landy on a new chassis and swapping any rusty parts with shiny new ones then changing the engine. As long as he can prove purchase of all the bits then surly it is legit.

Personally not so sure bout it. I don't know his reputation but. Its got svx lights and bonnet which cost a fortune yet not mentioned

Yan the landy man is from Bolton, sells alot of defenders on e bay. Very reputable and sometimes sells some top end performance cars.
He has sold a couple to tv shows who do them up and sell them on.

Now I REALLY like this vehicle, but couldn't help but notice the seemingly split/battered steering arm and track rod end gaiter.
What other corners have been cut in this 'brand new' rebuild...
