hi bit of a random question but does anyone know why engines need easy start to start, and how can this problem be solved- and it not for my landy!!

easy start is an ether mixture which is designed to ignite easily. it smells fookin luvvly as well ;)

is easy start that stuff that you spray into your air intake? I've heard that it can do more harm than good, although I don't know why. If you've got a 12/19J the only way that you'll get it to start up quicker is new glow plugs and spot on fuel injection

is because it takes the carbon off the top of yer pistons, the engine becomes reliant on it. has the tractor got glowplugs, if so, replacve them and then try to start it without the easystart. another option is to hold a burning rag into the air intake

no, the easystart removes all the carbon. if it hasnt got glow plugs it must have a cold start. what tractor is it

Somebody at some point is bound to say the injun becomes addicted to it, an as far as I'm concerned it's a load of bollox, how can an inert object become addicted to summat. If you find the reason you needed to use the stuff in the fost place as Yella sez like yer glowplugs or wiring to em then you shunt have to use easystart. An while we're on the subject an if you dont get it sorted, try using brake an clutch cleaner, when I tried it it was miles beterer than easy start, but dunt smell as good.

very true grant. some cock allus sez yer engine becomes addicted to it. its a lie. the reason is, like i said, it removes all the carbon mekkin it harder to compress the diesel

why does a lack of carbon make compression worse? Surely there's not going to be 2mm of carbon stuck on top of his heads

cos there was no wear when it was new. now its worn and the carbon causes a seal on the worn bits GRANT
