Yeah I may bring along my go pro, be good to have a group of people to go laning with, mostly go on my own as I have no 4x4 friends! I have some ideas in mind for other days out too if this goes well, maybe even a weekender or two in the summer!

GoPro - like the idea... I got a gift card for Christmas so maybe I'll have something for the trip :)
Rykas - nice cafe, haven't been there for years (was different name then) since I was a biker. There was a crushed Honda Fireblade in the carpark to warn the bikers what would happen if they got caught speeding along that stretch of road....
60 miles from my house so will be ready for a bacon sarnie when we arrive, sounds great..

Cafe looks good, do love a good breakfast its guna be a good day,
I like the sound of people getting out n about doing stuff too seems to be so hard these days to get people out.
just spent 2 hours in the rain trying to get p38 to run but eventially got stable voltage to ecu so its looking good for its first trip out

We all know you're only going to walk round The Lanes, looking for a new leather mask and nipple clamps whilst everyone else goes out into the countryside....

Love the idea of the "spanner club" I'll be picking everyone's brains on my other project 1969 Series IIA

It is keeping me busy. Unfortunately the barn isn't mine, I rent the space from a local farmer but at least it's dry and out of the way.

This is great! I've found more 'local' landy owners willing to meet up than ever before :) There's also @paulski1 near me but he's got a new chassis to fit.
Steve, that's good looking job, I do admire the ability to do all that sort of thing. TBH I'm pretty useless even after all these years of landy ownership, but having the space and tools to do many of the jobs would help.

Thanks, it's been a fun project so far. Bought it on ebay whilst I was on a business trip in China. Ebay and jet lag is a dangerous mix. haha
Project is even better as it's given my Dad a chance to come and play too which has been special. He taught me all I know so great to have him around. I need to have this one finished by October as it's supposed to be my son's first car when he's 17 and starts driving.... Panic time coming soon :)

many moons ago i done a chassis swap on one of my series 3 and christ almighty those bulkheads are heavy , still adored the smell of old oil , didn’t even have to unbolt the seat base as it just came away and found the chassis had more plates on it that the 7th bridge ,

hats off to u and look forward to some more pics , plse
