Hi all

Next job on my list is to sort some central locking issues. What's the easiest way to access the 10AS module? I need to remove it completely to solder a relay on the board.

Cheers in advance and sorry if it's been explained before, my search didn't show anything specific

If you remove the clock binnacle you can get to it that way, still awkward, think I used a stubby screwdriver.

Snap!

On the binnicle theres 4 screws. 2 at the top on either side and two at the bottom either side.

Whole thing comes off, just watch the cables going to your gauges. Modual is down below, awkward to get to!

Let me know how you get on, got to do this myself as well!

huffhuff,
Also take your radio speaker out by using the two apertures (binnacle and speaker) it makes the job easier.

:(

I don't have a speaker there
Sorry huffhuff my speakers are low down on the dash and it gave me good access to the wiring on the 10AS module. 20151025_172941.jpg

Not all early td5's had them, probably spec dependent.

Mines a 2001 so that's early I think. I don't have holes for them or nuffink.

I have one each side in the headlining. Will take a pic later as it's actually quite a good place for them. When I get further down my todo list to 'audio upgrade', I'll be adding another set above the rear windows either side of back door and a slimline sub in somewhere
