If that is all it's dropping forget about it. There are lots of people who wish theirs worked as well.

Indeed I am happy that there are no leaks, but this exercise shows that when the EAS Relay is on, the car will drastically drop in a night and hit the bump stop in 24hrs... Which tends to point to a bad height sensors, if you all agree with it of course.

In the meantime I call my garage explained them what I did (thanks to you all!) and they also believe this is electrical and not a leak.

They also pointed out this could me most likely a height sensor, but they also mentioned that it could be the EAS Driver pack as well (but less likely). What are the rate for Driver pack to fail?

Check and clean the conectors in the EAS box and the white connectors behind the trim in the passenger footwell just in front of the door for starters.
The car raising can be due to the driver pack but I have not personally seen proof of that.

It could also be a duff delay relay waking up to often.

I will had to do that obviously with the engine OFF and Key out of the ignition right?

Mine seems to drop whilst driving. Every time I stop at lights or park, it raises up. Sometimes it raises up too high and then drops down again. I've played with everything except the driver pack. I've got a used one arriving from a breakers in a couple of days so I'll swap it at the weekend. If it does cure it, I'll let you know. If not, I'm going to cut that pesky white connector and solder it. After that, it's the remaining 3 height sensors...

The pesky white plug, as you put it, is the connection from the height selector switch to the ECU. Think it is far more likely to be selector switch or bad connections on white plug emulating signals from it and feeding ECU duff info than it is driver pack. The driver pack only does what the ECU tells it to do. Not saying it is always totally innocent, but think it gets blamed for a lot more than it's responsible for.

They always re level when you come to a halt, if you are a heavy braker, it can be quite noticable as the front rises then settles down.

Well it's a stupid system :) No wonder compressors wear out!

I'm going to swap the drivers pack out of interest because even if it doesn't make any difference, it leaves me with a full set of spares: compressor, driver pack and valve block - so worth testing it anyway...

Not to stupid, as you brake the weight transfer forward compresses the springs....the laws of action/reaction, forces, energy etc etc dictate it won't return to exactly the same position once the forward transfer has ceased and the springs uncompress so it equalises the pressures across the suspension to ensure the vehicle is still sitting level and square....

Pretty sensible if you ask me :D

Which is why the Citroen system is the best suspension system ever designed! There's no storage of energy under compression forces so damping is hardly required. Air springs still act like springs (but to a lesser effect) storing up compression energy as a swelled bag.

The Citroen stores compression energy in the sphere via a diaphragm and compressed Nitrogen:)
 
No harder to fix than the EAS in my limited experience, just more expensive. I've had a GS and an XM.

No pretty simple, but a bugger when you're sat at the traffic lights, loaded up, going to pick up bait from the tackle shop, for your weekend away in Scotchlandia fishing, when one of the bloody struts decides to burst. That was a day to remember. :D:D
 
A little update on the situation... I plugged back the relay and continue to monitor the situation until my visit to the garage but since the put back the relay the car no longer drop like it did in the past :confused:

Before all started the car dropped as follow

FL 3.7cm
FR 3.5cm
RL 3.1cm
RR 3.8cm

Without the relay the car only drop of 0.5cm on average on the Front wheel and 0.35cm on the Rear wheel.

Since then I put the relay back, no errors on the dash, the suspension height work just well, (Access Mode, Highway Mode, Normal, High Mode) but the car no longer drop like before???

24hrs after I put the relay back the car dropped as follow

FL 0.9cm
FR 1cm
RL 0.7cm
RR 0.9cm

The next 24hrs later

FL 0cm
FR 0.1cm
RL 0.2cm
RR 0.7cm

I doubt that unplugging the relay for 12hrs fixed my "amazing" dropping problem... And this lost of height does seems to be acceptable

15 mm in 24 hrs is an acceptable leakage rate.

The "Only" difference between the tests is the weather : Dry and hot (29c) and Wet and Hot (25).

Any ideas?
 
You pulled the case off the relay, maybe you disturbed something or the connections got cleaned by unplugging it.
