Hi all your wealth of knowledge is required again, I have rtead through most of the posts on eas but just want to confirm first before stripping the valve block. Right the beast is lowering itself on the osf,osr and nsr within about half hour of switching engine off, come back up when started straight away, it has had new air bags all round and the joints have been soap sprayed and no leaks detected. question is is it the valve block orings or should i be looking elsewere, also when max ride height is selected the rear goes up but the front is lower than the rear.
Hope you could shed some light on this for me.
Cheers all:confused:

If you read my "How to" there is a section on detecting valve block corner solenoid leaks and an explanation of what can cause them. Sounds like the system needs calibration reference wade height. Get the EASulock cable and software from Datatek (on here). You will need a laptop to use it. You can then sort out your own problems. The fact that the car jumps up quickly from a low position would suggest the pressure side is working correctly.

Check the readings from the height sensors - if one sensor is bad it throws the whole system.

This is easier to do as a first check before stripping the valve block.

Check the height sensor readings as a first step (after following Wammers How To), but a valve block overhaul is probably the next step along with a new dryer.
SymliseP38 spares on Ebay is a good place for the O rings and diaphragm, no affiliation just a satisfied customer.:)

Hi again well did valve block and no leaks plugged eas lead in and getting higher front measurements than rear is this normal if not what should the measurement be in eas unlock

The measurements are from the wheel centre to the wheel arch, the numbers are adjusted in small steps to get the correct heights. The actual numbers are not directly related to the heights as the sensors are not that accurate. Write down all the height readings before you start to adjust.
Look in the how to section at my airbag replacement guide for the measurements.

ok so i got 464at the front and 436 at the rears on standard height. how do i go on about changing these values

What software are you using? Never seen values like that:eek:
I think those values are the physical measurements of the wheelarch heights!

You think he's talking measurements Ant? I thought he was talking sensor readings:confused:
I believe so, a sensor should return between 0-255, as you know.....so with figures in the 464 and 436 region and Standard ride height is measured at 470 +/- 5 I can only imagine they are the physical heights (with an issue on the rear).

I'm sure you are right, I'm still asleep:) Just wondered if it was some odd diagnostic kit he was using.

...................Front.............Rear
Extended.....120-180.......105-150
Standard.......95-150........85-130
Low .............75-140........75-120
Access..........50-110........50-100.

Lowest and highest acceptable parameters at each height. Any sensor reading above or below those listed at any particular height will throw a fault. If a setting lower or higher than those listed is attempted to be written to the ECU for that selected height, the ECU will return to a preset condition. Calibration will have to be started again.

Yes those measurements were the wheel arch heights from wheel center. how do i get the ecu to accept the new values as when i put them in and click write it will revert back tothe original. using eas unlock suite

You cannot put values in that are out of range, you just adjust a couple of digits at a time up or down as required.

You don't put in the measured value....you have to 'guess' the correct sensor reading value....

say with a physical measurement of 436 on the rear and a sensor reading of 100, write a value of 105 in and then set that and remeasure the physcial height and see what difference it has made, then adjust the sensor reading figures until you reach the required set height.....

It will be a process of iteration until you get the height values correct!

Read my post before you asked this question.

high all sussed it. used the height setting to get the heights correct took sensor readings and then inputted them in the correct order and it now accepts them. easy when you know how. cheers all for your help
