Hi All,
Just had a word with my local 4x4 garage and he tells me there are two mutiplugs under passenger footwell that corode and cause EAS fault symptoms.

Not cheeky enough to ask him how to get to them

Anyone any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated

Yes there is a wiring loom that travels through the footwell. A copy of the RAVE manual would be helpful in this situation. I have never actually seen this wiring loom, but I believe that you need to follow the standard foot well pannel removal to get to it.

Yes the wiring loom can get corroded. If I remember correctly, there is a multiplug in the footwell possibly above the fuel shut off area. This plug can get drips from a clogged drain line.

Hi,

I’ve done mine when I first got it.

I think they were just under the bottom left corner of the glove box. Ones bigger than the other.

I just cut one wire at a time and cut the bad bit out and replaced it with fresh stuff.

Isn’t too difficult to do but make sure you kneel on something as it took me about an hour to do them, I would say im a novice at soldering really. Just for a time scale.

Hope that helps and make sense.

Mark

Thank's

As advised I found them with the help of Rave and yourselves.
Thought I was on to a winner as the screw retaining the panel looked corroded, but when I removed the panel it all looks brand new.
I pulled the plugs apart and all pins clean without any signs of corrosion.

Thank's again for your help but I have to admit failure with this fault as I am unable to clear it.
A visit to the dealers this time.

Fred
