£140 for an rf receiver
£150 for a key fob
£130 for a fuse box
diagnostics between £50 & £120 an hour

to complain about £60 for a tool that resets your air suspension leaves us in great doubt about that person's integrity.

You don't deserve to drive a range rover.

+1

wammers is quite right to say you can,t go around masking problems up on these cars if you have a fault-sort it.but i do believe nik b did,nt buy it for that reason he bought it has a get me home fix.there you go thats my bit.

Absolutely! I dont wanna get stuck somewhere and have to drive home making a nice skull impression in my roof.

Also I think the EAS seems to get confused and do this even when there is no fault. I suspect dirty sensors or something like this. I got no fault code when I reset and it worked perfectly after both times (first time with software and cable).

If your confidence wavers with the EAS as mine did after the first time it was enough to spoil the fun of driving the p38. 60 quid was a small price to pay for piece of mine. This has only happened twice in 10 weeks.

Back on this subject, i did say i was surprised at the price of this item considering it's component parts. Well maybe a rethink is in order. Just had a look at the same thing available from Storey Wilson. Comes at $224.95 including postage. That's awopping £151.68 at todays exchange rate. So it would seem that the Kicker is a snip at £60.00. Which leads me to wonder what price the Wilson All Comms promised shortly will end up at. He predicts $150.0 for the interface with free software, maybe we have to wait and see. Although i still have reservations about using the kicker to mask problems rather than attending to them.

Ah don't worry Irishrover, i don't ever mis much on this forum :ballchain:
Trust me i already have plenty enough with the one big C&%k;)

Please forgive my apparent lack of participation on this particular thread, i have been following it, and would of course wish to thank the original poster for taking the time and trouble to state what a good bit of kit the EAS Kicker lite is, but i seems whenever i post anything on this board, i am either regarded as some strange form of corporate money grabbing monster or am open to someone wanting to force a round peg in a their own personal and most odd shaped hole. So it does now take quite a bit for me to use the keyboard.

Perhaps its just me, however, I have no doubt that if our various attempts to help any and all Land Rover owners out with equipment, cost half what it already does, that there would still be just as many people complaining it's too expensive for them etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, i really do most appreciatively and humbly thank all those of you who, like me, live in the real world and truly appreciate quality and what capability we try to provide for the money.

wammer, while i always appreciate critical input, however your maths on what our equipment actually costs to provide is well out of whack. By example if you buy a P38 EAS kicker lite from us it's just 46.13 minus our 10% discount offer to established forum members gives just 41.52, and a lot less if you buy in bulk. Sadly on behalf of the Cyprus government we have to add 15% VAT, but you would have 17.5% added if you bought something from the USA anyway. But that 's hardly us just profiteering to the tune of 60 quid. So if you fancy a go at beating us cost wise for what we produce you are really neding to get below about 35 quid.:eek::eek:
Perhaps now you see how hard we really are trying to help.

Regards your reservations about the EAK Lite masking faults, well we do also provide a non lite version (EAS kicker) that reads and displays the faults too. Naturally that costs a little bit more, but again i very much doubt anyone will be able to match or beat us on price.

Warmest regards to all

Colin

ill second that i have re-syncbox eas kicker lite and faultmate msv2 extreme and i think they are all brilliant pieces of kit !! well done BBS :)

I think I should have one then. Colin, how do i get one for this special price you mentioned?

Colin,

If only people knew the vast amount of knowledge you have regarding Land Rover's then i'm sure they would present you with a pedestal to come in & sit on.
Besides that, it does you good to get out from the office & join some light hearted car banter, like the rest of us sad git's.

It's disgusting...They up sticks and move to Cyprus with all that sun and Ouzo plus more holidays than the UK then spend a couple of months developing a system that puts Test Book and Autologic to shame and then have the nerve to actually charge people for it instead of giving it away for free....money grabbing load of gits!!!

:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi

Irish I Like it :D

Colin fair play to you, the products you have are excellent and to be honest all the work and development it took why shouldn't the company make a decent profit, Your not a charity!!!

Question.......How many of you "Begrudgers" on her would be prepared to put your own cash or assets on the line to produce something free of charge for the benefit of the masses???
I have no axe to grind with BBS, I have spent quite a bit with them over the years and at the time, it was money that I could have spent on other things :beer2::beer2::smokin::smokin:, as it turned out, it was money well spent. If I was to wait for a free system, I think I will be too old to get advantage out of it. For those of you who do not have the BBS equipment and do not have access to the support forum, I can tell you that they are constantly updating their software and giving regular free upgrades on their site.......Is a freebie site willing to do this????

Better the devil you know, I say !! At least if I have a problem there are plenty of people on the BBS forum to help out....FREE!!

Tell you what.. I wish I had the chance of a 10% discount when I bought my kit..but I a'int complaining.

:behindsofa:

thank you very much for your quick response
this was my first time asking a question and was not sure how to do it.
