Well it has only taken me 2 1/2 years to get around to replacing what appeared to be a faulty LH rear door latch. (My apologies Marty) I now have the interior and puddle lights and the door open message coming on when I open the door however, I had thought that this switch being knackered also may have prevented the EAS freeze from working, it hasn’t. The car still goes up and down with any door open including the tailgate, it does freeze with the brake pedal though. Is there somewhere in the BECM that needs to be switched on, I can’t find it with my Nanocom.

I don't know of any setting in the BECM that would affect the EAS disable, not that I have ever looked for such a setting.
 
Door open signal to EAS ECU is just a Ground signal to pin-34 on the EAS ECU. It comes from BECM C112 Pin-3. Nanocom will confirm if it's toggling correctly, or just use a multi-meter.

If the signal switches correctly, then the connection inside the EAS ECU is probably bad. If it doesn't toggle, then BECM is not grounding that pin.
 
Looking at RAVE, the (inhibit) freeze function with a door open only works below 5 to 8mph, so if the EAS ECU thinks the car is moving, the inhibit will not operate.

I am just trying to think back what May have started this and I am wondering if it has anything to do with when I sent the BECM off to Rick the Pick at Callrova a good few years ago. Is Rick still about?
 
Mine does the same, leaving a door open doesn't freeze the system, neither does the foot brake. Becm knows when the doors are open and the for brake cancels the cruise function, operates the brake light etc. Never found the issue

Crikey, a working cruise control, who would have thunk it :)
Mine does freeze the EAS with the brake but nowt else. My BECM is picking up the signal from the doors (all 4 now!) which made me wonder if there is a software switch in the BECM. I shall delve tomorrow coz I ain’t gonna let it beat me ;)

For the doors yes. Brake & inhibit are different pins on EAS ECU.

Dash Message display has separate data from BECM so can show which door or tailgate. EAS simply sees a door or tailgate is open on one ground signal.

The brake freeze function is working, can I turn the freeze function on via the Nanocom? I have no idea why it stopped though.

Is your BECM set to unlocked? That's been known to have odd behaviour.
 
Well I know I went to Brighton with a lorry load of new cars and met this fella on the corner of his street and he had my repaired becm nice chap fixed it and tested it all for me hope it was Rick
