It would seem the the EAS software is no longer available from the RSWsolutions site, instead he is offering what he calls V3 software complete with cable for $147.95:eek: Admittedly it offers direct USB connectivity but seems a lot for what it is.
I will continue to offer the serial EAS cable & software for a much lower price and I may even look at supplying a USB adaptor:)

Still available:RSWsolutions

I looked before I posted, I couldn't find it, only the new paid version?.

Interesting, your link finds it, if I go direct to www.rswsolutions.com, I cannot find it, nor could another member which is what prompted my post.

OK, I think I've sussed it, you are using an old link, go try download from your link. Doesn't work for me and if you use my link the free EAS software is not there.

Don't for me, my point is that if you go to the RSW site using www.rswsolutions.com, the free EAS software is no longer there, it has been replaced by a cable and software kit at $147.95.
Anyone that doesn't have an old link will not have access to the free software.

Don't need an old link, google eas unlock suite https://www.google.co.uk/search?cli...rceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest - hey presto Top result, and link works

The creator has now developed a new (much better he says) version and like to make money out of his work, wouldn't it be silly to link to his free windows version on same page?

Good idea to supply working adapter with cable, avoiding the cheap crap ones people otherwise might buy just to find it doesn't work:)

€147.95 for a USB adaptor fitted to the cable is a rip off considering you can buy a working USB adaptor for about £1.50, I made a USB cable for £10.
My point was, and still is, that the free software is no longer available from www.rswsolutions.com of course there are other ways of getting it including from me, it's knowing where those sources are that matters.

Supplying your lead with a USB/serial dongle that's known to work is a good idea Keith.
Saying that Steve, not all Drivers work with all PC's.
Ti's a Driver issue, nothing else. You can't expect Keith to include all the Drivers for all PC's when they are readily available to those who look for them properly, there so many platforms to chose from, WinXP, WIn7, Win8 & the 64bit versions to boot & that's just Windowz.
Just a thought.

chopped meat alert.:lol::lol:

I downloaded it from there last week without any problem after it had mysteriously removed all trace of itself from the laptop I use for it!

Glad I did. I'm surprised that Storey is charging so much for this new version given that the previous version was effectively free (although I hope everyone that uses it contributed something for it!).

I can't see him getting many takers for it. I'm still miffed with him for giving up on the P38 on his allcomms thing.

That's why I have not done it to date apart for one for me.:) As I supply on a not for profit basis, I'm not sure I want the hassle of drivers.
