Have been doing a lot of reading about Air suspension issues trying to fathom out the problem in my car.
Essentially, compressor running more than it should. New compressor And constantly altering itself up and down when running.
Just looking to see if anyone can confirm or say I am wrong about the following issue.
1.) Car constantly re-arranging itself, minute height differences.
2.) Consequently Compressor running more than should.
3.) Garage checked and assures me no leaks.
4.) When finnishing a journey where car has been in motorway mode and come back up. It does not rise up to the normal level. Almost but not quite. However when you start the car again, be it within seconds of stopping it or days, it leaps straight up the extra tiny height difference.
5.) Over 48 hours car will lower itself sometimes, not others. Irrelevant to weather. (Last time, back had dropped level left to right but front had not.)
So alot of what I read says, "If you car drops then it has a leak period" I am trying to establish IF it could be a height sensor causing this. A kind member on here has said he will test them for me so will take him up on that, this is more so I can see if I understand the system properly.
Fine re has to be a leak somewhere ..... but, if the car powers up every set time scale when not being used to check itself height wise, then surely if I have a faulty height sensor that is not always behaving and giving an untrue reading that is lower than it actually is then surley the EAS will lower to that fake point?
But then as typing this, I am thinking, if the height sensor is faulty and it thinks the car is lower than it is. Surely the car would end up being lop sided but it is perfectly level all round all except once. Any thoughts greatfully received,
Ta.
