Datatek

Just to confirm to all those that have bought the cable & CD, I have just made a donation to RSW of £1 for each one sold, reference number 6S5824056R666653Y:)

How much is your cable LD024 for classic Range Rover please. I was going to make a serial cable and solder it onto the loom myself along with the switching transistor required, but if you make them in bulk it might be a better idea to use you. Thanks. Ed

Sorry, I know nothing about the classic, I only made the cable for the P38 to help people with EAS problems.

Hi Keith ,

I trust all is well?

Re the cable & CD , what else would I need to get up and running?.. laptop?. What software etc..

.

Thanks Keith, arrived very quick, software installed easily, just need time this end to plug in and find out what's going on in there......if anything!;)

Hi Paul

All well here apart from the bloody gearbox!

Just a laptop with Windows (XP?) and maybe a USB to serial adaptor from Maplin about £15 when I bought mine. You can pick up laptops for as little as £50 on Ebay if you are patient, if you get one with a serial port there is obviously no need for the USB adaptor. Everything else I have for the EAS is on the CD.:)

look at the usb adaptors on ebay, paid 1.85 for mine! just having the same issue as Ridesafe and not finding the time to get on and have a fiddle!

Are you still making these cable datatek? I would really like if you still are.

Yep, another batch ready on Thursday but the postage has gone up to £3.91 courtesy of La Poste withdrawing the cheap rate I've been using.
PM me if you want more info or look in the for sale section miscellainious:)

But no CD with the EAS software, airbag replacement guide or RAVE:p:p:p and your cable is shorter and costs more than mine does even with the postage:p:p:p:p:p:p

bollix does it - I can supply any length cable and or software, but I dont normally cos the customer can get the software easily ennuf.
I aint getting into a slanging match with ya - it aint worth it for a couple of quid.

£17 yours with or with out P&P? £14.91 mine with P&P, as you say the software is free and I can also do any length cable.
Not good to make false claims, damages your business reputation.
No slanging match, you jumped in and implied you were cheaper taking P&P into account, I merely set the record straight.

our reputation is not based only on price. Plus we have to charge VAT etc, but we are still cheaper than any other business that I have found, or ebay.
