'Evening all,
I'm usually over on the RR forum, but would appreciate some help from knowledgeable Disco peeps please.
We had a 1998 TD5 until the chassis started to look like lace curtains and it failed its MOT. Passed it on to a farmer friend who has been using it (hard!) for a few years now. Strange thing... he came out the other morning to find all the dash lit up (see title of thread) . Ignition key was in but off. Turning it on (and off again) makes no diff. Now the battery is flat....
What's goin on?
thanks

You should explain better what do you mean by ''all the dash lit up"... it's about all the warning lights or the background lighting of the dials cos if ALL the warnings are on constantly(not just the red ones) that's bad news

The bad news is that this issue is very complicated and the troubleshooting can be a nightmare... i can help only if you are familiar with circuit diagrams and you also have RAVE then i can tell you what to check, if it was just simply a stuck ignition switch the warnings should have gone out all after the self test except the battery and oil pressure lights but as long as they are constantly on it means that the IP is stuck in the self test mode or it lost the comunication with the BCU/IDM or ECUs, the easyest first step to rule things out would be to check if there's no water ingress to the interior fusebox or BCU, also what happens if the battery is disconnected then reconnected?
