Ya wont find either on the early 3.9 (early bein the one from a RRC)
better going for P38 unit I wouldve thought
well the engine is out all the engine bay has been stem cleaned
so ready for engine it will be the 3.9 with my Heads as they have been over haled
the crank will be the 4L as it is a serpentine front cover new cam and sprockets chain followers
will be decat as engine 1990 so don't have to have them more BHP
must admit having fun fitted rear L322 lights and bumper waiting for front end conversion
car will be Fugi White with black top end

nope 4L crank too big
Update
As I want it to be legal with out cats then it had to be a 1990 so it has had the nock sensor and crank Sensor fitted
So have a set of cats going cheep
(I want it to sound like a V8 and not a sewing machine)
The 4L crank won’t fit and needs a regrind so that is out
Will upgrade the crank bolts
And do the oil pump as well
Know where you’re coming from Vougese but that would be no fun and I like fun
Just got a complete front end of eBay for a L322 so have both ends know
I have a spear Front bumper if any body needs one
Back bumper arrived on Thursday so started to fit it has any body fitted a L322 lower tale gate???
If any body have done any of these conversions then let me know
And any updates I need to know about the 3.9 would be good

Hi all well i am back
Engine (Block) will be back on thersday
will my 4L pistons fit my early 3.9 Block ?
well all the lights are in and rear bumper on waiting for front wings to turn up so i can get the front finished all so got some light guards for the front of eBay and wing vents
Still looking for a Bonnet

Custom bodywork is not really my thing, why not pick up an early l322?
Nicer car to drive and if you're into a bit of modifying it doesn't take much to make them super smooth.
AND that BMW engine loves a supercharger.
Good luck with your chosen project though anyhow, one mans rubbish is another mans treasure etc
