Hi All...got my .TD5 auto done yesterday by Mike in Dynachip. Very nice chap and really knows his stuff. The results are really good, a nice improvement in overall "grunt". Engine feels different and even sounds more "growly".
I had already done EGR Valve out, De Cat pipe in, Sports air filter and Ashcroft's heavy duty torque converter, so the tuning was well overdue and brought it all together nicely. Really good value at £225

Any difference on fuel consumption?

Remains to be seen. I'm assuming there will be some benefit since there's more grunt available = less effort for the engine to do the same work. 5 - 10% improvement maybe?

Also would imagine a manual to be even better in terms of MPG improvement. Mine's auto.

Hmmmm....but then again more grunt more fun!

I had my 2001 Auto done a few years back, it made a real difference to everyday driving, just a lot more low down shove. Fuel mpg did increase on a run I'd say by up to 10%. Around town not though as if the extra torque is there i tended to use it. Towing showed the best increase as cruising at a steady 60-65mph was much easier with a lot left in reserve.
My tune was done through my local landy indie by autologic. I've just tried to book my new 2004 manual in for the same to be told autologic no longer cater for Landrovers?

Going to Rovertune in Reading on Monday who use Alivetuning to create the map.
