So my death wobble has been diagnosed as down to 2 bent alloys. When they were swapped out it drove fine.

I've tried to search for advice on replacements and have drawn a blank. So can anyone suggest what replacement steel rims I should buy to replace the standard alloys? I can see new ones start at about £35 but I don't want cheap Chinese wheels that will bend the first time they go off road.

My driving is 80% off road so they need to be able to cope with some decent mud plugging.

cheers

ffs yes. What is your problem?

Why should I know what is good and what is bad. If you don't want to answer stfu

Carm down,it is a bit of a silly question. The cheapo modular steels are good rims and solid for the money. If you've got money to burn then maybe look at some mach 5's or if your realy tight then get some second hand 90 rims. If your off road more than on road have you thought about putting the bent ones on the rear?

thanks for the advice, that's useful. And Dr evil, why is that such a stupid question from a newcomer to this activity?

Because theres plenty on it if you were to search properly and if you look at all the landrovers for sale with steels they are generally either;

Weller

Modular

Wolf

or

Mach 5

Oooh bitchy :rolleyes:

No I have a better faster vehicle, the disco is for greenlaning when I have time

so at the expense of setting Dr Evil off again, are these cheap modular wheels at £34.80 worth going for? I ask because I've got no experience of this, I can't find anything specific in the threads, so obviously I need to learn how to search better and I'm wary of buying the cheapest in case it's rubbish

4x4 alloy and steel wheels Tyres - 4x4 Tyres

And no secret how come Dr Evil's posted so much..

Discovery factory steels, the ones with 5 slots in are very strong and as cheap as chips, scrap value usually.
