Checked my car, the pipe from the MAF to the engine is collapsing under load, so the car can't get any air to it... I'll replace it and go from there...

Hmm. Now i feel stoooopid. I checked the air filter, which was changed maybe 3 months ago...
Somehow the filter got wet and managed to stuff itself into the hose which is above where its supposed to be.
£5.49 later and i've put a new one in, and now after revving the engine, the pipe doesn't collapse, so now obviously its actually getting air...

Cheap fix... Just feel a little silly for not checking it earlier!!!

If only mine was that simple! Phoned the diesel garage I've took it to, it's something with the injector pump, not sure what exactly, but something expensive that I can't do myself. GRRRR.
My series 3 was so much easier to fix!

Yeah thats not good chap... Luckily i did get away with it ok...
Kinda the luck of the drawer, and i still have **** loads to actually fix on the car...
So its just one off of the list!! Good luck...

Aye cheers, should be ready today at some stage. Only other thing after this is to get a small portion of rust welded up in the boot (stupid steel parts!). Then I just need some offroad tyres. We have expensive hobbies!!

Well.... I have another Disco but a 200tdi, this is by pure off road one, so with this dirty boy, I aint worried about damage much, just as long as it runs and drives, the body can screw itself!
The rusty boot floor is currently duct taped over!!! Most electrical thing don't work, but i do have some some nice chunky off road tyres...

So my on road Disco is completely standard...

As for the expensive bit, yeah as i still need to do some body work on the dirty boy...
Bumpers, pulling points... Steering box... blah blah... list is kinda endless, but as i use it once every 3 weeks, it gets done when i can be bothered...

Got it back and all sorted now. It needed new head and rotor springs as the old ones had snapped!! All sorted :D

OOooooh. That sucks. I recently changed my bias plate on top of the gearbox, and the part was only £4.50, yet if of had it fitted it would of cost £100...
Crazy really...!
