The weights were stuck in my ducellier distributor. Whilst I have been able to free them off with a bit of WD40 and physical encouragement, I would like to remove them to clean them properly before reinstalling.
But I cannot work out how to get them out. From what I can tell, I need to release the shaft and pull the whole shaft up (is this true?) but it appears there should be a circlip that I remove. I have found something circular, about 15mm up from the end of the shaft, but it appears to be a complete ring, rather than a circlip.
So, I am stuck.
Any advice on how to get the weights out from here would be appreciated.
