Hi , would anyone who drives a dse auto be able to tell me how the car changes up when in low range ,
Mine changes up thru the gears rapidly at very little revs when in low range and takes a lot of revs to change up when in hi range ie 3500 rpm to change to 2nd when in Hi.
From memory my old 3.9 classic used to go to 3500 rpm when in low range to change up to 2nd .
I dont know if this is correct or not for the dse.

autos change up quicker in low box cos the gearing means the box reaches a given speed sooner

Yes you are right. I didn't read the post properly - just read old 3.9 classic.
Late at night now on second bottle of wine.
I should know, I have just changed my p38 box.

The gear changes can be made to change at different RPM's by differeing pedal throw...i.e. light throttle will cause changes sooner, a bit more pedal will cause the GB to hold a lower gear longer.
