As an example of why you shouldn’t do complex work in a badly lit workshop (by workshop I mean the old wash house at the back of my flat which is now my workshop) having finished a long shift with nothing to eat or drink I managed to drop the high gear from an LT230 on the floor (concrete).
Fell about 1m and amazing landed flat. No chips or anything on the teeth. Not even a scratch.
Are they pretty hardy or have I risked some internal crack that’s going to explode as soon as I refit it?
