Can you use a 2 inch Drop Plate to raise the towball in order to lift a trailer which is low at the front. Have had conflicting advice so thought it is best to ask the experts. It is 2003 TD4 ES Premium. Thanks.

No no no.....
A drop plate is a drop plate.
The stress levels are too great to use it as a raise plate.
I'm saying this because that is what I was told when I needed to raise the towball on a previous car (not a freelander).
My garage at the time did use a drop plate, but welded in position some additional support brackets to take the strain.
