Yet another driveshaft boot has split . Always the same one - offside, inside boot. Now, I know I can buy just the boots, but I wondered if anyone knewspecifically of any decent more heavy duty ones. I could always just buy another drive shaft, they're cheap enough ,but it seems a shame when the driveshaft it self is absolutely fine. But then again, the boots seem to cost nearly as much as a complete unit................
Regards.....

Hi, just a thought but you could try the breakers, I have just broke a 2001 petrol model, all the boots looked good, maybe the originals are better quality than the modern ones, just a thought.

Cheers . However I've been trawling the net and can get GKN ones now for around £15 ! That's a huge saving on the prices from last year which seemed to all be round the £45 mark. Hence it was quicker and easier just to replace the whole unit at £52.

Go for the GKN boot. The hard rubber boots last much longer than the soft rubber type.
