Hi got in car today drivers seat dead won't adjust in any way passenger seat fine no other problems any ideas

I had this at the weekend...then all of a sudden started working again....not found out why yet!

Oh the joys of the L322:rolleyes:

Funny enough I saw this post earlier in the morning and I thought to myself "datatek is certainly going to have something to say about this", and then I log on now to see that right on cue, he has:D...
Goes into your book as one of the numerous reasons why you would have a P38 over the L322 anyday, huh?

Yep:)

The even stranger thing was the uncommanded movement of the seat back....moving forwards and starting to pin me to the steering wheel....movement of the switch suddenly stopped this uncommanded movement and then all the seat controls, memory settings and steering wheel movements were restored....

Was a bit of a surprise as I was going round a roundabout at the time!

Sounds like yours is trying to kill you.
You wouldn't happen to have skimped and bought some cheap service items or anything of the sort that may be annoying your car.
You know it's been said land rovers are temperamental vehicles, right? Got a hilux as a second vehicle that took the place of the landy under the shed in order to protect its 'new car paint' from the elements. A week later on my first outing in the disco since the arrival of the hilux, it very conveniently broke down on a one way access way into the city center. Gearbox oil cooler pipe had failed, dumping all the atf unto the street and leaving me with no drive, and a mile long backup of ****ed drivers behind me.... very first major breakdown in 5 years of ownership.
Now tell me that's not a jealous car paying me back.

Hi again checked fuse yer blown changed it bingo seat working also steering column then 2 minutes later fuse blown now fuse blows instantly any ideas folks love l332 but it is a pain in the arsenal

Dead short somewhere.

Might pay to take the side panels off the seats and see if there are any trapped wires

Hi all again particularly Saint put my head under seat today saw a plug in a yellow holder to connect seat wiring to car so disconnected this changed fuse again expecting steering column to now work , no. Steering column does nothing but doesn't blow fuse so reconnected seat plug now seat still does nothing steering column does nothing but fuse doesn't blow oh and also. Now have dash airbag warning light any ideas folks

Yep, yellow leads are SRS leads and should be left well alone.

Diagnostics will be needed to reset the warning!!

As for the seat issue, have you had a look at the switch pack/seat module for defects, dampness or otherwise.

Hi again took seat side off hey presto all working great put panel back on sodding thing stops working again bxxxxxxxs take it apart now nothing works still can't find dead short
