has anyone taken the actual seat cover off to inspect the foam on the rear part of the drivers seat. (Not the seat base)

I can feel a bar in the rear of the seat, I think the foam may have split, does anyone know how to get the fabric off the seat back to check the foam.

I don't expect the seat construction is any different to most other seats. Normally there a selection of clips and "hog rings" holding the covering in place along the bottom. Once all the fixings are removed, the cover will "peel" upwards, like rolling a condom in reverse.

I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and go for it I've been putting it off for months to be honest, I fitted the boot spoiler and wind deflectors she wanted yesterday and I had just finished and started on at me for the seat again.

If you can find a matching material - it might just be easier & cheaper to get a replacement seat back from a breakers? The bases tend to wear, not the backs - so I'd have thought you could pick one up cheap.

If it's for a series, new one ain't that expensive. It would save all that mucking about. Or you could just swap it for the passenger one.

there is a bar at the front and back pull them downwards to remove the seat cover and from what I can remember there is something at the side as well.
