Are any other doors opening with the fob key if not change the battery first on the fob cr2032. Next the key does this work lowering the tailgate window if okay no issue. The drivers lock has a prong link to the mechanism that can snap. With the fob key retuned 5 times near the driver door does this open if so open all doors. Next sit in drivers seat and pull door latch is this working. Next while in drivers seat does the console button work to lock all door locks okay including drivers door

the key wont go in!!sitting in the seat the latch work so does the switch inside, have replaced the battery works fine on all the other doors!!

Can you open the door? If so then it should be a case of replacing the latch assembly, removing the door handle at the same time, so you can sort out the faulty key hole.

It sounds like two different issues.
The key hole has seized up because you haven't used it in years and now the mechanism has failed so the fob won't unlock it.
Try Wd40 in the key hole and as Nodge says order a replacement mechanism.
