Evening

I have driven a short distance with hand brake on and when come to a stop at first junction it bounced and kangaroo'd like crazy with a major shudder this notifying me than I had slighty left it on.

Now should I check any parts for damage. It all seams to work fine

Major shuddering and kangaroo'ing could be showing worn halfshafts and prop-shaft UJs.

But driving with the handbrake on will make no difference other than wearing the shoes as already said.

Driving with transmission brake on can cause loads of damage!

Not if its only slightly on. If its properly on and has a good hold, of course it could make a right mess but only on slightly, it shouldn't make any difference as they are ****e until they are properly engaged

It won't help any but it won't break anything either.
I drove for 7 miles with it on pulling 3.5 ton, I never noticed because of the extra weight behind me (I thought the pull was because of the trailer)
I opened the window to let some air in while on the way and got the smell of burning clutch ,or so I thought but it was the only the transmission brake shoes.
That was a few years ago now and a cheap lesson.
