Ex military 2.5 n/a with LT230 transfer box.

Drove off the drive and up the street and there seemed to be a lot of resistance. Engine and gear change was fine, felt as if diff was locked. Rear wheel started skipping, put t-box in neutral and back in high, tried lock and unlock diff made no difference. Managed to get it back on the drive and left it for the weekend.

Got back to it this morning. Moved it in and out of lock and high, low and neutral. Now seems to drive fine except as I slow to a stop in neutral the transmission rattles and the engine seems to struggle for just a second.

I've greased the t-box linkages but not sure what to check next, maybe drop the oils and check the hand brake drum for loose debris?

Hand brake sticking? Ended up changing mine for a disc conversion

Try jacking front and then back and getting underneath and turning drive shafts see what happens

I'll have a look inside the hand brake. Tried to take it off this afternoon but couldn't slide it off. I'll have a read of the Haynes manual tonight and try again tomorrow. Everything seems to operate correctly but I have been wading recently so maybe it's full of gunk.
