Started today on changing all bushes on one of my front radius arms.On taking the wheel of the little rubber dust cap on the hub dropped off and oil started dripping out.Having not so far delt with the wheel bearings i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of what has gone (if anything ) as i am thinking an oil seal. When i finished re-bushing the arm put the wheel back on and gave it a good wobble while off the ground. As far as i could tell there was no movement in the wheel bearings.Cheers

Pack the rubber cap with grease and put it back on and you should be fine. You may need to replace the outer hub seal if it still leaks. I assume there is no sign of oil on the inside of the wheel? If there is you'll need to replace the inner seal so yoiu may as well replace the bearing too if that's the case.
Good luck. ;)

Ok cheers will try what you suggested.I thought the bearing was greased so was thinking the oil is from the swivel ball may be, one shot is next on my list got some already to go but think i will hang fire till this is sorted.Cheers anyway

Have a look at the manuals but if there is oil in the wheel bearing you will have to replace an oil seal somewhere, I think oil can get from the diff to swivel through a duff seal and from swivel to wheel bearing as well, when another seal is fooked.

So i am thinking the stub axle oil seal may well be shot looking at Busters guides

that would be my thoughts, i have the same problem but CBA to do anything about it yet:eek:

got the seals just not got the motivation, its still working so in my head why fix it yet.
