Hi
Has anyone done the off road course at Driffield in a Freelander? Is it possible to avoid the water sections?
Not sure to risk it, this would be my first time off road.
cheers

think from what I read, it is pretty well marshalled, and the marshalls will advise you at each stage, if they think you won't make it, you probably wont.

Post this in the anything goes forum, just don't tell them its your freelander. You get better response.

Hi
I did the Driffield course 4 times at the 2009 show. There were only 2 places where the marshalls said not to go, one was due to ground clearance on the approach to a hill crest and the other was the second water obstacle.

I completed all other aspects of the course without problem, a little grounding here and there but nothing major. I've done it before in defenders and disco's and foundit more challenging this time as you do need to be on the ball with route selection.

On the whole i was well impressed with the Freelander. I have pics if anyone would like to see them.

I've marshalled the course at Driffers; there's 2 choices of route; green and red, and all the marshalls will advise anyone who asks, if you're unsure, or inexperienced, stick to the green route :)
