Hi maye disco 2 has started flashing these lights used come on and go away when it was wet.Now they stay on and won't go away! I have tryed the following things
Checked connections on the starter
Checked all the earths
Checked the battery
Checked the xyz switch
And getting no fault codes on my nanocom no faults logged

Anyone got any other ideas?

How did you check the battery?... the only relevant thing is to measure the voltage while cranking, if it drops below 10V you need a new powerfull one, also how is the charging system working? do you get above 14V at idle on cold start(after max 30 seconds of running)?

On the nanocom u can see the battery voltage

when cranking and runs 14,3 on idle mate

Did you scan the transmission ECU for codes or the engine ECU?, if the M+S warnings were on and no faults logged in the transmssion it means that the EAT ECU is missbehaving, let nanocom plugged and watch the voltage when the symptom occurs and if no drop then prepare yourself with a replacement EAT ECU

Dont think the nanocom one can scan the transmission ecu mate I have never seen it in there?

AAAAhaaaa, then remove that statement with no faults loged from your first post cos it's irrelevant

, and find somebody with the proper tool to read the code stored in the EAT ECU and then you'll know the reason

you need access to transmission ECU which you dont have

I have come across this problem on a TD5 AUTO BOX in wet conditions.
IIt was a sensor on the near side, its a long time ago but seem to remmber if you pulled gear lever back and forth quickly it cleared the fault

Took it to a dealer today and it read3 fault s
Solenoid valve lock up
Solenoid valve 2
Highside switch control

These can be due to chaffed wiring between the console and autobox cos it's common, you have to follow the gearbox loom where it passes through the body and above the gearbox before yoy do anything else

Ok i shall try and find a diagram and look at it this weekend thanks he said it can be a lose connection in one of the plugs on the gearbox

that's possible too off course, i told you only the bad news

... and there is an even worst scenario that the solenoids to be fubar'd, it's first time i see that "highside switch controll" code and it's not even mentioned in the diagnostic code table so i dunno what the heck that is unless it's P1844 (38) = Altitude shift control invalid you should have remembered the P codes too not only the description

that's better, so the "official" codes are:
P1612(2) = * Solenoid valves power supply relay, sticking closed or open circuit
P0743(7, 25)=* Torque converter lock- up solenoid (MV 3), open or short circuit
P0758(9, 27)=* Shift solenoid (MV 2), open or short circuit
all these signals are on the same loom, search for RAVE and download one cos you'll need it, then when you have it i'll help you more

Then go to Electrical library - connector views, see C0243 and C0677 then remove the console and follow the harness between these plugs, or check continuity between corrsponding pins and against earth
