Hi folks I've got the dreaded ball joint removal job on p38 2.5td to do as failed mot on rubbers got the tools to take them out but just enquiring how people lined the swing hub back up as know you ment to have special tool for this job asked a few garages near me that fix RR and been quoted £500-700 to do it

If you do not touch the adjustment, it will go back OK.
 
I know they can be a pig to get out it easier changing a engine in one than doing the ball joints just need to make sure the pivot hub is central to the axel or the seal will leak the hub alignment tool is about a grand

The swivels come out easily enough with the right tool, not expensive.
