out offroading and bent my drag link arm again ( the one behind the axle) so ive ordered a new standard one. its is the one which has the mount for the steering damper welded to it, now i cannot seem to find a hd one with this mount on it. so im looking at gettin this:
Heavy Duty Track Rod Guard

are these worth it? or if anyone knows a hd one with the damper mount on it please post the link :D

I'm thinking of doing this as I have a defender 90 tracking rod.

I was wondering how the Disco tracking rod length compares with the Drag link length as it is in two pieces??

Might measure it tomorrow:) poss a bit too long thinkin about it but if it could be fitted then the bracket for the damper is on it already

Too good to be true:(

probably to long really, that kit looks easy to make, may just weld a new bracket to the chassis like abit of angle bar with a hole in it

If anyones interested i have a brand new HD disco steering arm, a Pressbrake one made of EN 24 steel, bullet proof, can also be used on defender with different drop arm.

I've got the HD track rod bars for sale and possibly the steering damper too(all only 6 months old). I suppose this is a bit like closing the stable door once the horse has bolted though!!
