G'day folks,

I've found these double valve springs in a replacement 2.25 litre diesel head

They don't look like anything in the Green Book or the parts catalogue.

Are they series 3?

Are they military spec?

Who knows?

I'm probably gonna keep them as they should help reduce vibration at WOT (!) cos of that type of design...

...still I'd like to know about them before they go back in

Oh wow - nobody knows?

I must have the rare really expensive kind - lucky me!

No, they're just the older stlyle springs. Then they changed to single coil. You may find some nos double coils.

Seen that on vintage motor bike engines. Didn't know LR did them...interesting.
