I would be interested in how you get on... I'm in a similar position... I was keen on the SP products... they offer steel skin, and galvanised frames, with marine bonding in between??Nobody had one, well I have ordered one and will let know what it is like.
If that was a pothole on the road then the Council would be liable to pay for any damage caused to your vehicle if you hit it.Had a quick reply from Doors4defenders saying they are aware of the packaging problem and are sorting it.
Hopefully that will be what I find when I take my rear door apart then with any luck.Cost was one factor,also as a working vehicle [ livestock farm ] there is a good chance the new door could soon have a dent or two in it [or worse] and I do not think I would like to see that on a nice SP door. Last month I nearly purchased a rear door but when I removed the checker plate door card I had put on a dozen years ago only the lower rail was in a bad way so I welded in a replacement rail and did some rust prevention and put it back.
