It's probably my fitting skillsHi are they open as they don't look to be lining up very well I was looking at Paintmans Panels
IMO no doors fit very well. I have fitted both new (any brand) doors and second hand original land rover doors and none of them line up well. To get them to line up correctly you need to adjust the bulkhead angle against the tub, as well as the height of the front of the rear tub and even then it is a lot of fettling and adjusting. This is "easy" to do if you have the vehicle stripped and are in the process of a rebuild but if you are just swapping to door over you are not going to bother loosening off all of the other panels to get everything lined up perfectly. You have to remember these vehicles were hand built with tolerances that were adjust with a large hammer (no joke if you have seen videos of the production line). Because of this there can be huge differences in the dimensions of two different vehicles and therefore no replacement panel can be expected to perfectly fit without a lot of adjustment because nothing on these vehicles was built to the tolerances of a modern monocoque car.Hi are they open as they don't look to be lining up very well I was looking at Paintmans Panels
