So I fitted the front door handle kits so the handles spring back in correctly when you pull on the handle.

But the doors take a good pull on the handle to open them! I have oiled the hinges and greased the lock, but makes not difference!

Anything to be done?

Sounds like the rods need setting up and need adjusting to give a shorter pull from the handle. Do the rods have slots in them to adjust the clips?

Having done everything I could inside my doors they still need a bit of effort to open. I haven't investigated yet but I'm wondering if it's a bit of wear in the hinges and the door is 'leaning' slightly on the lock. It's on my list as one of those little things that can wait for warmer weather and lighter evenings.

Hi Rachel, could you please tell me where you got those door handle kits from, need to do mine as they also do not return properly when released . Is it a hard job too do?
Thanks Paul.

Look on Rnagerovers.net, there is an explanation and fix for the stiff operation, it involves cutting a small part away if I remember rightly.
