Hey all,

My door frames had no seals on them when I bought the landy but I think from the parts diagram that there should be three seals attached to the top frame?

Can someone post any photos of these seals and advise on how they are fixed on please?

Cheers,

Al.

Hi,
Yes, it's a '75 series III as per photo.
There are no seals on my door tops at the moment and no holes where they might have been!
Any photos anyone?
Cheers,
Al.

When i did mine earlier this yeah i found out that the seals was cut to size and moulded to shape very well but the holes was out by half the distance between the holes if you know what i mean so you will need to drill fresh holes, also you will get a load of rivets with the kits which are quite long but in a lot of cases the rivets was too short and ended up buying longer rivets

recently did mine on the three and used some one piece chevy s10 door seals - had to cut some off so they fitted - they just pushed on all the way round, will only be an issue if the top is removed. chunkier than the s3 seals

No way I'd have been allowed to use the bed to spray against!!

If originality is your thing then the old leaky seals will have to do.
If you prefer to be dry and draft proof I’d suggest the alternative tubular foam seals.

Thanks all,

Just to clarify, are there seals attached to the door or are there only seals on the body. I can find no photos of series III doors with seals on their outer edge. But the parts diagram shows three seals on the door?
Cheers,
Al.

There are no seals on the doors.

The original seals rivet to the cab. You won’t want to put the original fixings in them as they need special tools. Most people use pop rivets.
Alternatively you can use the one piece seal shown above that also fits to the cab opening but simply knocks on the lip.

woah dude flat 6. i am flat.
Indeed you are.
My moniker derives from a wholly unpatriotic interest in Stuttgart's finest export. I use the same handle on all car sites even though it makes no sense on most of them...

Thanks Bob. I'll probably err towards originality.

This is one of the diagrams that had me thinking that there were seals on the doors...

Ha me to although flat4 was taken which would have been my preference!
