I am looking for the sealant that is used on the inside of defender doors that holds the plastic to the door. It seems to be a non setting sort but for the life of me I can't think what it is called or where to get it from. Can anyone help?

It is the little details in life when doing a rebuild .lol.

Google self amalgamating rubber strip. :)

Just had a look on the parts website and it doesn't list the sealant, I have found some self amalgamating strip that Al2O3 suggested but it doesn't seem sticky enough.
Bugger. It's a few years since I got mine. Thought that's what it was. What about bitumastic tape or butyl tape ?
