hi all, anyone know what colour of wire ? or if its a live or an earth ? that the becm relies on to see doors being open or closed , as i have the message on dash as both front doors open , with no electric windows or central locking and suspension will not rise , because its seeing doors open . any help would be appreciated

Trace the wiring through using RAVE or look for breaks in the loom where it flexes as the door opens and closes.

Windows should still operate with the doors open.

I'd check the connections to the outstations in the doors.
 
hi, i have done a continuity test on all the wires from door jam to out station and all are ok
however the large white multi plug in drivers kick well had corrosion in it so ive had to bypass the plug and hard wire it , i have power and earth going into door out station but still nothing works, hence why i asked if anyone knew the exact wire/colour of the door open pulse and whether the becm is looking for a live or an earth , to show that door is open or closed

hi again all , has anyone any ideas what i can try to get power back to my electric windows, mirrors and central locking , i have checked all wires going from kick well through into door and there is continuity on all wires in door and both the lives + are present at out station also the earths - are also present , so ive no idea what to check next
any ideas anyone ??

Have you checked the all the fuses under the seat/bonnet and checked the under bonnet fusebox for damaged power tracks???

Yes all fuse's are ok. and ive even opened up the becm, and checked the circuit boards
are all ok to, ive got landrover t4 mobile + but its not even powering it up through the 16 pin socket , as i said in previous ? im at a loss what to check next as there is no rhyme or reason for all these faults

hi all, just a quick update on this vehicles loss of power to all windows ,central locking , mirrors,sunroof etc, you may remember a while back i had a friends range rover with the fuse 2 failure message on dash, and various other things not working, this was eventually fixed by changing the power board in the BECM ie the top board out of a second hand BECM , so i decided today to remove the becm out of the range rover im working on at the moment and i took it apart and used the bottom board ie the logic circuit board. left over from my last bodge er fix. so duly changed this over and refitted back into car and lo and behold ive now cured all the problems with this car, ie all electrics are now working as they should, however this being the logic board this is where all the alarm and immobilizer gizmo's are , hence although electrics are now all working the car is now saying engine disabled , and wont crank or start , this is highly frustrating although proved what i thought ie the bottom board is f**ked , the car will not accept the eka code that i obtained from the dealer this morning before i started this as i had a nagging thought this might happen,so i obtained the original eka code for the second hand logic board i was going to use, any help or comments of any use would be gladly accepted

You are going to need more than the EKA code. PM Irishrover he's the expert on this.:)
 
this is gonna sound daft but how do you pm someone ? and more to the point when you find out , how do you get the persons details you wanna pm

If you look at the top right of the Landyzone screen you wil see "Quick Links! clic on the little triangle and it will give you a drop down screen with a list of options, select private massages. That will open a new screen for your message. Type in the name irishrover in the first box, subject in the second box and your message in the third box then clic on "Submit". Job done:) Be quick as he is selling off his stuff:eek:
