The driver door lock went on my ex mod 110, and as the pass3enger had gone some time ago I thought I should sort it so I can lock the truck.

Problem is that the key just turns the barrel round and round. I can lock the door mechanism from the inside with the little catch.

I thought, easy job, just need new barrel locks, so I sourced them and after some fiddling got the old ones out. The holding pins on these had gone as the rear side plate had corroded and the spring had come out.

The problem is when I put the new barrel in, I get exactly the same thing happening. The barrel just tuns and turns when it's all fitted back together and doesn't engage the locking mechanism.

Is this not a barrel lock problem? Or am I just not slotting the new ones in right. They seem to be held in place with the little holding pins.

Any advice appreciated

Take the door card off and take a look, it's fairly basic how it works so you should be able to spot whats up. If not, upload a photo and i'm sure someone will help

As it's an ex MOD vehicle, I can take the whole handle assembly out pretty easily, but it's riveted shut so I can get at the internals. I have the same issue on driver and passenger doors.
