I'm gonna order some fancy alloy door hinges from scorpion racing tomorrow, had a quick look tonight and the nuts on the front of the hinge appear to be in the bulkhead, how do I access these? Also don't buy stainless door hinge bolts from ebay (jez) cos they don't fit.

Undo the bolts - i have a feeling they are captive nuts from what i remember

That would make sense, can't understand why nuts came with kit then? Cheers boydy.

Yes thats right they are captive - I have just changed mine last sunday and the set I got from MUD came with a whole load of nuts that I ended up not using... always a worry that!

You get nuts for the door side, they are not captive, just two plain nuts.

The bolts off ebay do fit, but, they are metric fitment not imperial, so will only fit captive J nuts from '96 onwards. But if your fitting new door hinges you might as well change the J nuts anyway. Let us know what the scorpian hinges are like would you, i fitted some ****part ones and they're terrible!!! So need changing already!!!
