Hi all, oh happy new year to one and all..I was just wondering has any one had a problem with the cable housing popping out from the inside door handle so that you had to lower the window to get out, Ive had the door card off twice now to put the blimming thing back together, thought about drilling a 2.5 mil hole and fitting a self tapper in, thought may be there's a better solution..cheers .

A picture of the offending part would be helpful, as would the details of the vehicle. ;)

Oh right its a Freelander 2 front passenger door cant do pictures, but there's a pretty good vid from powerfuluk on google under "door card removal Freelander 2" it shows the offending article at the end of vid, its the cable thingy that pulls the door catch open its held in by a plastic push and remove type holder it just keeps popping out....

I think this part number LR019831 will be the offending item, but without a picture it's impossible to say for sure. Your local LR dealer should be able to order it. It's about £1 so not worth messing with other methods of attachment.

Blimey a £1 didn't think there was anything on a land rover for a quid, well not since 1948 anyway, mind you love the motor to bits even thought of buying a new troublesome key fob its the £200 that making me hesitate a touch, anyway thanks for your input Nodge.
