So after following the water ingress manual, getting the new equivalent of dum-dum, non acidic silicone, etc I now have no leaks from tops of doors, alpine lights, bulkhead hinges.... etc, etc. but I still have floor panel carpets with soggy bottoms...

two things yet to do are the pedal area and these front bottom corners of the doors that let enought daylight in to get jj abrams cinematic glare effect and hear a badger growl ... let’s leave that one...

I am pretty sure its still this wetting the carpet and not pedals as I have a matching skylight on other side and equally soggy carpet. Is this fixed with new door rubbers, have I missed a page in the ingress manual? any bodge / hack?

where the wings meet the bulkhead is a joint which allows water from the windscreen to drop onto.

Water travels down that joint into the bulkhead and then further down into the footwells.

I'd start with CT1 along those joints, then consider a gulley extension for the base of the windscreen gulley which sends the water further away from the joint/engine bay

thanks may try expanding stuff. Does that look like a crap / shrunk / receding door seal. There does look to be something in water ingress about repositioning door seals is that maybe it? expanding foam looks good tho, do you put it on frame or door?

Anyone have any suggestions about gullet extensions? Mine is parked on the drive which slopes and water pours out of the gulleys when it rains.

There's this quirky guru of defenders who makes YT videos and he recommends using some sort of putty on the gully to allow it to run off of the wing properly instead of 'down the seam'.

He's based in Canada but is a Brit Expat and is always tinkering about with them.

Britannica Restorations is his channel I think.

yep, most of them are variations of what is in water ingress manual, nobody’s done the door bottom that I am aware of...
