A trim removal tool is best.cheap to buy as well . But just find yourself 2 flat bladed objects slide one in between the card and the door them move it along till you meet one of the pop studs/clips then slide the other tool in about an inch the other side and lever it off till it pops . Once you got the 1st one off just work round .

If you have the speaker in the rear door, that needs to come out first, there are a few screws lurking behind it

Also remove the. Handle. Two screws at an angle. Go to Amazon to buy replacement clips. £3.90 for delivered plus a removal tool for about £1.50.
Just be careful and take your time

Mark....I did this myself only recently and all I did was remove the 3 screws (one in the door handle and 2in the grab handle), then I got a flat blade knife and just worked the door card loose. You just need to slide something behind the door card and apply some force. Don't worry you wont break anything.

My disco is a 2003model, so if yours is the same then that's all you need to do. You don't need to remove speakers or anything....you will see the cables connecting them once you remove the door card....just disconnect the cables.

Putting the card back on is just a case of lining up the plastic screws on the door card with the holes in the door and hitting the card (hard) to "pop" it back in one at a time.

The one I have is fitted to my Discovery, has a rear door speaker pod, (2 speakers) that sits in the bottom right hand corner. I had to remove the 8 screws holding the front grill, thereafter remove the 6 set screws to remove the unit, which is in front of the door card, had this not been removed, the card would not have came off.
Hence my original post.

hi chaps
thanks for the replies,it's the rear passenger door.
