I've read it on here about using screws? to hold Defender door cards on when the plastic bits moulded into the card are broke, like mine are now.
The search function is not working for me:(
Anyone got a how to?:)

I trimmed them level with a sharp Stanley. Drilled a small pilot hole and used black Drywall screws. Snip the screw with a pliers to about 5 threads or so. Most important is not to go through the card and appear out on the 'good' side.....

As above, but I used Flange Head Self Tappers like these SELF TAPPERS for obvious reasons.

Think I've got some of them as well. Weather permitting I'll be doing the job tomorrow after I've fetched a new latch and a new outside handle and fitted them.
Thankyou:)
Ahhh, I see. Outside toilets still popular in Shropshire! That's got to be the priority job! :p:D

Hahaha!
Well, it's all gone wrong.
Local indy didn't have any of the parts I needed so I'm still having to climb in through the passenger side until paddocks deliver.

Just because the door card is orft?

Nah, the latch has failed locked, I've got to cut the Piller catch through to release the door to get the card off.
So I need a latch, a Piller catch and spacer and screws and an outside handle cos that broke as well. I've got the top corner of the card pulled back so I could try a wire hook on the latch to release it but it's having non of it.
Thought I might as well sort out the barely hanging on card while I'm in there.

That's a sickener :( And, a tad ironic given that landy doors are just about the easiest for a tea leaf to get in to

Correct. The ones I have left over from a job had heads that were too large anyway. Found some nice plated ones that fit snugly last night.:)
Just waiting for the bits to arrive so I can crack on.
