Its a deal but only if u fix all eas probs n heavac,n the anti lock brakes warning lights o and the dent in the back bumper !!!!!!! But it shines nice
so does anyone recommend changing heater plugs or that waste
Here's my handle on it, heater plugs have fokal to do with it if it is hot, sounds like you are losing fuel pressure, ie running back because of a bad connection or faulty pump, or lift pump.
You then need to crank the bastid for ages to get the fuel back up before it fires. If the filter has the centre o ring missing or damaged this is a classic example of this fault.
Anyway if you can connect a can to the system with fuel in it then you can rule out bits from the filter to the tank. Then you just fook about with the bits from filter to the injector pump and so on.
Aint fuel leaking through the lift pump into the oil is it.
how much for your battery, i was given the link i listed by few people on this forum who said its good for dse's
I agree about the glowplugs not relevant to hot starting. Just been looking at RAVE and the alternator controls when the fuel pump runs! Just to throw in another variable.
Extract from RAVE
Charging System
When the Ignition Switch (X274) is in position II, the
BeCM (Z238) turns the charge warning light on via
the datalink connection to the Instrument Pack
(Z142)
When the Generator (Z106) starts to produce power,
the BeCM (Z238) gets an input signal on Pin 15 and
turns off the charge warning light.
For the Diesel engine this signal is also used as an
input signal for the fuel pump relay inside the Engine
Compartment Fusebox (P125) to make sure that the
Fuel Pump (M109) is only supplied with power when
the engine is running. If the Generator (Z106) fails to produce power, the
charge warning light remains illuminated.
also this one has lost me a little (im abit thick you see)
