Hello,

I have an intermittent fueling issue. It usually crops up near the beginning of a journey and cuts out. If it works more than a few miles it'll be fine the rest of the journey.

When it last happened I recorded the noise. Do you think this sounds like air in the system, or a poor pump? The gurgling noise in the vid (as opposed to the whine) coincides with the pressure dropping to 3 bar.

I'm trying to decide whether I have a leak or an electrical fault.

Thank you!

I have. The old pump was clear too (discoloured at most) and I could see the bottom of the tank; sludge free.

Thanks.

Ok I went through 3 intank pumps on my td5, but as I was running hooky derv I could tell from the noise the pump was on its way out, the pumps werent cheap, but the foc derv made up for it several times over.
I used to go though quite a few fuel filters as well!
