hi all. in the middle of replacing my p gasket yesterday i noticed this 'goo' running down the front of the power steering pump.

it isnt power steering fluid, more like old grey porridge. anyone know what it is and if it means my pump needs replacing? figured id check before putting it all back on.

Looks abit odd!! Could it be stop leak leaking out?

Nope, don't have any of that in it. It's coming out behind where the wheel attaches if that helps.

looks like contaminated oil or grease to me mate.

you must have water dripping from water pump above and getting mixed with oil on pump shaft
